In which countries the people celebrate the new year?

In almost every country they celebrate the new year but there are countries that  they celebrate it in differents ways and sometimes in differents days.

-India:  several times in a year

-Japan: it is celebrated all the month

- Escocia: 31 November - 1 October

Why and How they celebrate it?

It  is a celebration that takes place on December 31( the last day of the year) ,It is celebrated with a big party that usually includes fireworks and the people meets with friends or the family.

In spain when the clock sounds at 12 o’clock the people eat one  grape for every bell

Rio de Janeiro is the place where is celebrated the biggest party for the new year

 

I think the people who likes to celebrate it is because they can be together eating or going to a party and they have fun, and also because it is the beginning of a new year.

The Notebook

After watching this film , try to answer the following questions in your notebook:

1-Describe Duke's character. How is he like? How he does he behave? Has he got a good attitude?
He is a very kind man, I think he is a calm person and worker, he always stays next to his wife and everyday he reads for her, he's got a very good attitude and he is a very good person.

2-What is the first thing they do in the morning, in the nursing home?
The patients wake up and take the pills.


3-Describe the old lady Duke reads to.
She is a lady who seems to be very elegant, white hairted and jewels.


4-Describe the different spaces you can see of the nursing home.
The beedroom, the nursing room, the garden, a room where Allie plays the piano...


5-Where did Noah and Allie meet for the first time?
In a fair of the city.


6-Where did Noah and Allie danced together for the first time?
In the street.

7-Why didn't Allie's parents like Noah?
because he didn't have the same social level as Allie.


8-Does the doctor agree that Duke reads to the old lady? why?
No, because he thinks dementia is irreversible and she doesn't remember anything.


9-Which signs of dementia can you see in the old lady?
When the man reads the story to Allie she says the story sounds as she had heart it before and she doesn't remember that she plays the piano.


10-Does Allie lose her emotional bounds with his partner? Justify your answer.
Yes, for example when they break up or when she is very confused about her feelings.

Sicko

After watching this documentary, I think there is a problem in the USA , because there are people who die because they don't have health insurances, but there are also people who have insurances and companies deny to use it because they don't want to waste money.
In my opinion , our health is not a game

The Butterfly Circus

1.Write down in your notebook how Will (the main character) is described in the first circus.

He is described like a perversion of nature.

2.What do people do when  they see him? what does Mendez say to him?

People laught at him and they throw objects to him, Mendez said you are magnificant.

3. Which acts can you see in Mendez's circus?(mention at least one of them)

The strongest man , the contorsion man, the queen of the air and the trapecis.

4.Describe the problem of one of the artists in the circus. 
The girl was a prostitute and she got pregnant so she got fired.


5. What do children say to Will after the show? 
The children said :
how did you do master? 
were you scared?

6. why mister Mendez choose the name Buttterfly to his circus?

because it talks about the evolution of the caterpillar to butterfly , and  they are like butterflys , they at first are normal and then they show their talent.

       She doesn't smile at first because when she was small , her mother was sick   and she never smiled and she forgot to smile , Veronica smiled again because Hugh make her mother smile

Hello , my name is Míriam Lesan, I'm sixteen years old, I am from catalonia and I live in a small village called Montgai. The members of  my family are my mum, her name is Teresa, my father  his name is Josep and I have a twin sister called Judit. I like reading books and watching films.
